About Xylometazoline
Xylometazoline is a chemical substance. The nasal drops made from Xylometazoline are adrenergic drugs and have a specific excitatory effect on α adrenergic receptors. It is applied to sympathomimetic amines and alpha receptors on the small blood vessels of the nasal mucosa to produce vasoconstriction, thereby reducing blood flow to relieve congestion and swelling of the nasal mucosa. It is an ideal long-acting nasal vasoconstrictor.
