About Vancomycin HCL(Vancomycin Hydrochloride)
Vancomycin HCL is a narrow-spectrum antibiotic, which is only effective against gram-positive bacteria, such as hemolytic streptococcus, pneumococcus and enterococcus, etc., all of which are sensitive, especially to drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. The mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, which mainly binds to the bacterial cell wall and prevents some amino acids from entering the glycopeptide of the cell wall. It is mainly used for severe infection caused by penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, such as pneumonia, endocarditis and septicaemia, etc. It also has a good effect on infection and septicaemia caused by hemolytic streptococcus.
