About Oridonin
Oridonin is the major active ingredient of the traditional Chinese medicinal herb Rabdosia rubescens and has anti-inflammatory activity. Its main components are kauricane type natural organic compounds (ent-kaurane, renediterpenoid), which are colorless prismatic crystals with extremely bitter taste. They are not soluble in water, but soluble in ethyl ether, methanol, ethanol and other organic solvents.
Oridonin has potent anti-tumor activity. Oridonin targets AE (AML1-ETO) oncoprotein.
