Description About Lycopene CAS 502-65-8
Lycopene is a red pigment and an antioxidant generally found in tomatoes and other red- or pink-colored foods, including watermelon, papaya, rosehip, and pink grapefruit or guava. It has been proved that lycopene decreases the risk of cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease, and perhaps even male infertility. People who have diets rich in tomatoes containing lycopene seem to have a lower risk of certain types of cancer, particularly cancers of the prostate, lung, and stomach.
