About Linaclotide
Linaclotide is an effective and selective guanylate cyclase C agonist; which was developed to treat constipation-type irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-C) and chronic constipation.
It was approved by the FDA in August 2012 for the treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation and constipation predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-C) in adults.
