Description
CAS:479-41-4
Application:An inhibitor of Cdc2 p34, Cdk5 and GSK-3? and an aryl hydrocarbon ligand
Product description:
Indirubin, also known as isoindigotin, is an inhibitor of Cdc2 p34 and Cdk5 (cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) 1 and 5), and GSK-3 alpha (glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3)). Studies investigating functional isoindigos show that they have the ability to disrupt cell growth and proliferation. The compound is a potent aryl hydrocarbon receptor ligand and is found in human urine and fetal bovine serum. Synthesized isoindigo-based oligothiophenes are used to study heterojunction solar cells. Indirubin is an inhibitor of Cdk2, Cdk4, cyclin A, cyclin B, cyclin D1, cyclin E, GSK-3 beta and p35.
