About Carisoprodol
Carisoprodol is meant to be used along with rest, physical therapy and other measure to relax muscles after strains, sprains and muscle injuries.
Carisoprodol is a skeletal muscle relaxant chemically related to meprobamate. Its mechanism of action is not well defined and its effects are measured mainly by subjective responses. It is used for the relief of pain and muscle spasm in musculoskeletal disorders. As with most drugs in this class, combination muscle relaxant-analgesic products appear to have superior activity compared to the individual agent. It is well tolerated with a low rate of overall toxicity.
