Description
About Cacao color:
Cacao color is extracted from the seed capsule of the cacao tree of the phoenix tree family. The pigment is mainly made up of polyhydroxybenzene galactocuronic glycoside .It is easily soluble in water and is stable to heat and light. It can be kept for a long time without fading and the tone is stable. In its natural habitat, cacao is found growing as a forest understory tree with an up to 3,000 feet (900 m) height.Cacao trees produce a distinctive slender flower that is small and usually pink in color. A cacao tree can have hundreds of flowers, but usually, less than 5 percent of these flowers actually produce cacao pods. These pods are rather big, and have a rind that is about 3cm thick. Inside the rind is a thick, sweet pulp that encases 30-50 cocoa beans. These beans are almond-like in shape, and range in color from pink, to purple, to light brown.
