Description
Uses:Leaves used for tanning and colouring of rattan.
Ecology:In undisturbed to slightly disturbed mixed dipterocarp, keranga, peat-swamp, beach, mangrove and sub-montane forests up to 1700 m altitude. Often on alluvial sites, but also common on hillsides and ridges. On sandy to clay soils, also on ultrabasic. In secondary forests usually present as a pre-disturbance remnant tree.
