About Methyl Formate

As raw materials for organic synthesis, formic acid, formamide, dimethylformamide, ethylene glycol, trichloromethyl chloroformate, ethylene ester, acetic anhydride, acetic acid and so on can be prepared. It is also used in the production of pesticides, military toxic gases and solvents. Methyl formate is also used as a solvent for cellulose nitrate and cellulose acetate, as an intermediate in pharmaceutical manufacturing and as a fumigating bactericide.
