About Salmon Calcitonin
Salmon Calcitonin is a regulator of calcium metabolism, calcitonin is a polypeptide hormone secreted by the thyroid gland cells, can inhibit the activity of osteoclast, thus inhibiting bone salt dissolving, prevent calcium released by the bone, because of the bones of calcium intake is still on, and thus can decrease the blood calcium.
It has been investigated as a possible non-operative treatment for spinal stenosis.
